Last week NARF Staff Attorney Melody McCoy presented at the Office of the Secretary of the Interior’s Secretarial Commission on Indian Trust Administration and Reform meeting held in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The purpose of the meeting was to move forward the Commission’s evaluation of the Department of Interior’s management and administration of the nearly $4 billion in trust assets. Melody’s presentation focused on issues related to the government’s fiduciary accounting for tribal trust accounts.
